My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pancake!

Pancake is a sweet, curious pup who just wants love and companionship from her humans. Once found alone, shivering under a tree, she’s now thriving in her foster home and learning how to navigate the world with confidence.

This smart and active girl loves to keep both her mind and body busy. She already knows sit, lay down, and boop (touching your hand with her nose!) and is doing great with potty training through positive reinforcement—especially when treats are involved!

Pancake can be a little pushy with other dogs, so she’d do best with a confident, patient furry sibling to show her the ropes. She’s kennel-trained, enjoys enrichment toys before bedtime, and loves belly rubs, couch snuggles, and trying new treats—blueberries, mango, and chicken are her favorites!

She’s still learning to play with kids and manage her excitement during playtime and meals, but she’s just a baby with so much potential. At around 4 months old, Pancake has a lifetime ahead to grow, learn, and love.

Adopt Pancake, and you’ll gain a devoted, playful, and loving best friend for life.

Additional adoption info

All dogs receive appropriate DHLPP and Bordetella (as well as a booster for both). They get dewormed, they get rabies, and get a 4DX test to make sure they are heartworm free as well as free of other tick borne illnesses. If they are sick, we get them the medical treatment they need for whatever the issue is. If they need a dental, we get the dental done and if they have any known injuries we address that with a vet and provide necessary treatment. ALL pets get completely vetted and sterilized before being listed for adoption. We require an initial phone call interview and then a FaceTime call to meet the potential adopter and for them to meet the dog. This is also how we perform a home check. We require personal references as well as a vet reference. We will not adopt to a home that cannot provide these references. Our goal is to help as many homeless dogs get out of Texas and to loving forever homes!

More about this rescue

We pull dogs from the local shelters who are in need of placement as well as dogs that are on the euthanasia list. We help people who have found stray dogs and are willing to foster and we also save dogs directly from the streets. When we can, we help owners who need to surrender their pet so we can find that fur baby a good loving home.
