My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

  • 2 years old (estimated)
  • Neutered male
  • Bonded with Michael Kors and they must be adopted together
  • Did well when meeting a group of 30 first-graders
  • Have done well with other cats at the shelter
  • No known experience with dogs

Ralph Lauren is a sweet, affectionate young cat who’s closely bonded with his best friend Michael Kors so they must be adopted together. These two start their mornings waiting by the door, excited for breakfast and ready to greet whoever walks in. Ralph loves batting at wand toys, chasing his buddy through the room, and then settling in for a shared nap in their favorite spot or on a nice cozy lap.

He’s impressively laidback, happily lounging and playing even when a group of 30 first graders came to visit. Nothing seems to ruffle this calm, confident boy. Ralph Lauren is a truly delightful companion who, alongside Michael Kors, will make his adopter very happy.

Ralph Lauren and Michael Kors have been waiting a while to find their family so their adopter can name their own adoption fee when they take them home!

An adoption application must be completed. Home ownership verification or landlord/condo association approval is required. For dogs, if there are any dogs currently living in the home, a scheduled and supervised interaction with the prospective dog is required. Additional requirements may apply depending upon the individual animal.

Upon adoption, the adopter is required to sign a contract agreeing to provide the animal with the care and medical treatment he or she needs throughout his or her life. More about this shelter

The HSJC is located in Jefferson, Wisconsin and is a small, privately run non-profit shelter that has been in operation since 1922. We recently celebrated our 90th year of caring for dogs, cats, birds and other small animals in need. Each year, close to 1,000 pets find sanctuary at our shelter. We put forth great effort to reunite owners with lost pets and to find good new homes for those who need a second chance. We do not impose a time limit on how long a healthy, adoptable animal may stay with us as they wait to be adopted.
