History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Honey – Your Sweet New Companion!
Honey is a 1.5-year-old, 59-pound pit bull mix with a heart as sweet as her name. This gentle girl is looking for a forever home where she can continue her journey from outdoor survivalist to beloved stay-at-home pup.
What makes Honey special?
She’s incredibly sweet and loves affection. Belly rubs, ear scratches, and cozy snuggles are her favorite.
Honey knows basic commands and is a pro at sleeping in her crate. She goes in without a fuss and settles in like a champ.
She is potty trained and goes to the door to let you know she needs to go out.
She’s a curious soul who enjoys watching the world go by from the window. Her version of neighborhood news!
What Honey’s working on:
She’s still learning how to walk politely on a leash and needs help resisting the urge to chase squirrels, birds, and bunnies.
New people and unfamiliar noises can make her a bit timid, but she warms up quickly with kindness and patience.
The perfect home for Honey: Honey needs a calm, low-key environment with patient humans who understand she’s adjusting from a life spent outdoors, hunting for food and shelter. She’s making great progress, but she’ll thrive with someone who can guide her gently into the comforts of indoor life.
