Meet Marquee!
This young mama came to us during a TNR rescue with a surprise—she was caring for a whole little family! Now that her kittens have weaned and headed off to foster, Marquee (just 11 months old herself) is officially ready to enjoy her glow-up era.
She’s a shy girl at first, but once she realizes you give the good pets, she starts to melt like warm butter. Marquee is discovering that indoor life means comfy beds, regular meals, and zero need to hunt for snacks—truly the lifestyle she deserves!
All she needs is a patient human who can show her that being loved is way easier than fending for herself. With a little time and sweetness, this former young mama will blossom into your gentle, loyal companion.
Ready to meet Marquee?
Visit us 7 days a week from 12 PM to 4:30 PM at 2960 Shafto Road, Tinton Falls to fall in love in person!

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
