My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This silver star is smart, playful and full of love. She just needs time to get to know and trust you. She seems to prefer woman but we think that can be overcome with time. She gives either paw, sits on command, and LOVES her balls!

More about this shelter

We are a municipal animal shelter. We enforce the Town of Newburgh Dog Control Ordinance, State Laws, investigate cruelty cases and rescue any animal in need, whether it be a domestic animal or wild animal.
We do offer a Senior for Senior program which means our Seniors can adopt our older dogs (over the age of 7) for NO FEE.
The dogs that are available at our shelter are dogs that have been either abandoned or have been running in our Town and not claimed by owner.
Our available dogs are spayed/neutered, receive all vaccinations, are tested for heartworm and lyme disease,
Felines that are available for adoption are kitties that have been either abandoned at our door or have been found injured or seized. Cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, given age appropriate vaccines and dewormed.
