My name is Poppy!

Poppy is a young Malinois/German Shepherd mix who was abandoned out in the country near a home I was building. Neighbors had been feeding her and were about to take her to the shelter, so I stepped in to give her a safe place. She’s about a year old, very sweet, goofy, loving, and smart. She’s athletic, eager to please, and has done great in a home environment.

I already have several permanent dogs and regularly foster a few each year, so my goal from the beginning was to get Poppy into a rescue that could place her with the right family. She’s been friendly with my dogs, but one of my small dogs is reactive, and I need to put his safety first.

Poppy deserves a home where she can bond, learn, and thrive. I will cover her spay, vaccinations, and any needed vetting, and I’m able to foster her until she’s adopted.
