My name is Mikey!

Mikey was spotted at a shelter adoption event by one of our VIP OPA supporters.  He had a cough and some mange - both fully treatable.  OPA pulled him, continued treatment and got him into foster care.  Mikey has blossomed into a playful, smart, energetic pup that's appears to be great with all sizes of dogs and people.  He hasn't been exposed to cats but might give chase until he is trained as to how to behave around cats.  He knows basic commands: sit, down, come and is working on wait and stay.  He's still a bit too energetic on a leash.  He enjoys a good off-leash run in the forest.  He's crate trained but only sleeps in his crate at night.  He seems to be house broken when given the chance for outside time regularly.  Stealing off with a shoe, sock or human toy is within the realm of possibility, but mostly he's a frequesnt visitor to the dog toy box.   He's a delightful pup and is going to be a lovely big dog for an active owner.  We will miss him!
