Here's what the humans have to say about me:
If you're looking for a little sweetie, Shortcake will very quickly show you how much she lives up to her name! This very mellow, quiet, affectionate girl does very well with all Earth's creatures and leisurely strolls.
With humans of any kind, including men and small children, she quietly and gently asks for love and not much else. With dogs of any size or gender, she gives a friendly greeting before slowly wandering off to find someone with opposable thumbs who can give her pets. In cats, squirrels, birds, and other little critters, she shows no interest (see above regarding lack of thumbs and potential cuddles).
Her ideal day would consist of laying on your lap and staring lovingly into your eyes. If necessary, she will follow you around the house, climb into her crate on her own for a nap, or play with a treat dispensing toy. Otherwise, she'll accept treats for a job well done, but she's much more motivated by your praise so a gentle request is all that's usually required to redirect her. Similarly, she's happy to rest in her crate while you're out, respect your food and belongings, ignore sudden loud noises, gobble her meds, sit for nail trimming, or don a sweater on chilly days.
Shortcake would do best with humans who will patiently match her unhurried pace, and be diligent about maintaining her ear health so she can finally live the pain-free life she's been waiting for so tenderly.
This perfect little dessert likely won't be available for long, so I wouldn't delay in learning more about why she's instantly adored by everyone who meets her!
