My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Quentin A Gentle, Leggy Lovebug with a Big Heart
Quentin is a sweet, affectionate 13-month-old pup who surprised everyone on his Doggie Day Out with just how calm, gentle, and thoughtful he is for his age. This lanky, noodle-legged boy may be listed as a pit bull, but his build is more “bird-dog chic,” and his personality is all soft eyes and quiet affection.
During a 2+ hour adventure through Land Park and Curtis Park, Quentin showed excellent potential on leash. He tugged a bit at times but was very manageable, responsive to direction, and frequently checked in with his handler for reassurance (and quick snuggles). He noticed other dogs, ducks, squirrels, and birds, but never barked, lunged, or lost his composure, often choosing to simply watch calmly or even sit politely as they passed by.
Quentin met a pair of older ladies on the walk and greeted them like a true gentleman, standing quietly with tail wags while soaking up pets. He is affectionate without being overwhelming and has a naturally gentle way about him.
At home, Quentin took a little time to settle in before transforming into a full-on cuddle champion. Once comfortable, he happily melted into the couch for two solid hours of snuggles. He is very food-motivated (true snack aficionado behavior) and will happily sit for treats. His curiosity sometimes leads him to investigate kitchen counters, his long legs make it easy, but he responds well to “no” and redirects easily.
Quentin does show some anxiety around transitions, especially when separated from his person (like when someone steps out of the car or through a door). He clearly wants to stay close to his human, which is completely understandable given his circumstances. With guidance and consistency, this is something he can continue to work through. Like many puppies, he may occasionally try light mouthing when comfortable, but he redirects easily with a toy.
He’s also a rockstar in the car, calm, patient, and even seems to know the cue “get in the car.” He waits politely and settles in quickly for the ride.
Quentin is a gentle soul: affectionate, observant, responsive, and eager to connect. He would thrive in a home ready to continue building his confidence, offer structure and reassurance, and enjoy plenty of cuddles and snacks along the way.
If you’re looking for a sweet, composed young dog with a loving heart and endless snugg
