Tamera survived abandonment- now lets get her a home!
Sweet girl Tamera was found tied outside of the shelter along with another dog after hours. Luckily they were brought inside and out of the cold before they could freeze overnight. Unfortunately, due to her abandonment, we don't have much information on Tamera like her exact age, we think she's about 1 year old. She is a very sweet girl, incredibly loving with our staff and extremely food motivated, especially for chicken nuggies!
Tamera was tied up with another dog at the shelter we're calling Tia, they are very friendly with each other and likely lived together before being tied up. They do get along very well together, walking nicely on leash and munching on chicken nuggets together. Although we are not requiring it, we would love it if Tia and Tamera could find a home together.

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
