Introducing CHA-CHA... DOB est 9/15/2023, female, orange tabby, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped...

Beautiful CHA-CHA was turned in to Huntsville Animal Services when she was extremely pregnant. Just a few hours later she went into labor and gave birth to four healthy kittens. The little family joined one of our foster homes (Love & Hisses) just a few hours after that. This sweet girl has done an amazing job taking care of her kittens. Now it's time for her to be the baby! CHA-CHA is a super sweet, friendly, and cuddly girl. She loves to be petted, she loves to sit in your lap and be snuggled, and when she's had enough snuggling, she'll curl up nearby to keep you company while you work or watch TV. She's a very playful girl and loves it when you wave a feather teaser for her jump up after, or toss ping pong balls or rattly mice for her to chase. Depending on the toy, she very well may bring it back to you to throw again - she doesn't always get the concept of bringing the toy all the way to you, but sometimes she does! She's really a great all-around girl who wants love and attention, and to keep a close eye on what you're doing (she knows you need supervision.) She would be good with other cats (with a proper introduction, of course) and though she hasn't been around dogs in her foster home, we believe she'd be fine with cat-friendly dogs as well. If you're interested in arranging to meet CHA-CHA, you may email info@ffhsv.org and/or fill out an Application to Adopt, above.

More about this rescue

Forgotten Felines, Inc. is a 501-(3)(c) non-profit charitable organization. Our primary purpose is to manage the feral cat population in our area by trapping, neutering/spaying and re-releasing (TNR) cats back into their original territories. We also work to provide safe temporary homes for cats that are homeless, unwanted, abandoned or lost. Some of our animals have been rescued from dangerous conditions and cannot be released back to their original territory...these animals are housed in foster homes until permanent loving homes can be found. The majority of these animals are friendly abandoned pets, that are not feral, and we offer these loving and grateful animals for adoption at Petsmart in Jones Valley, Huntsville, AL. We also provide help to people who are elderly, disable, financially challenged and those who love their animals but cannot provide them with the necessary care.

Our Mission...

(1) Control feral cat populations through neutering/spaying
(2) Educate the public about about proper pet care and responsibility, especially neutering/spaying and advising about pet behavior and medical issues that often result in families giving up their pets
(3) Humanely remove and relocate ferals when possible
(4) Adopt out loving, grateful animals into permanent forever homes
(5) Raise necessary funds to build a shelter for rescued cats
