Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rover – ID 13359 – Kennel 79 – 8-year-old black and white American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever mix – Male – 62 lb – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative
Rover came to us on November 10 after losing his way, and heartbreakingly, no one came to get him. At 8 years old, this sweet guy clearly knew what it was like to have a home, and now he’s trying to figure out why he’s suddenly on his own. He’s so quiet in his kennel—no barking, no whining—just a gentle, patient presence that makes you want to scoop him up and tell him everything will be okay.
When we brought him out, he didn’t want to sit and seemed a bit uncomfortable, like he might be feeling some aches or just unsure of what’s happening. Even so, he looks up with the softest eyes, trusting and hopeful, as if he’s still waiting for someone to pick him.
Rover is one of those dogs who gets to your heart fast. He doesn’t ask for much—just kindness, comfort, and a place where he won’t be forgotten again. He deserves a quiet home, a warm bed, and a family who will love him for the gentle soul he is. This sweet older boy still has so much love to give, and he’s just waiting for someone to give him a chance.
