Barron came to us from a kill shelter where the whole family was shut down and huddled in the corner of their kennel. Since coming to Colorado and settling into foster care, Barron has made huge strides. He’s learning what it means to feel safe, have a routine, and just be a puppy.
Barron needs a home with another dog to help show him the ropes and build his confidence. He really looks to other dogs for comfort and learns quickly by following their lead.
Some of Barron’s highlights:
- Crate trained
- Learning leash skills
- Doing great with potty training. Good about letting you know when he needs to go outside
- Does great with his foster cat sibling — he's calm and respectful
- Super curious and loving once he is comfortable with you
- Playful with other dogs
- Good with kids
We don’t know the dad but his mom was around 50 lbs, so he should be around a medium size once he's full grown.
Barron is looking for a patient and understanding family who’s happy to go slow and give him the time he needs to fully come out of his shell. Once he does, he’s such a sweet and loving little guy.
Barron has been waiting, maybe he’s been waiting for you.

We are a small Colorado based Dog Rescue team, dedicated to providing a loving and caring environment for our rescues, while also working to break the cycle of owner surrenders.
POSO is working tirelessly to ensure that each dog receives the attention, medical care, and love they deserve. We hold monthly group training classes for the community (yes, even those without a rescue dog), providing free training for our foster families and our adoptive families. We are doing more than just rescuing dogs, we are changing the pattern of surrendering by providing knowledge and education through our community.
Our origin story is rooted in our passion for animals and our goal to make a positive change in both the lives of a dog and their human to break the pattern and ensure less dogs are returned to shelters. With over 15,000 Dog Rescue organizations in the United States and over 1.5 billion websites out there, we believe our story, our mission and our approach sets us apart. POSO is a Dog Rescue doing more than rescuing dogs.
