My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Age: 12 Years (Partially blind)

* Partially blind in BOTH eyes. NO special care needed for Pappy Dill, you just need to make him aware that you are near by allowing him to smell you or making noise before directly approaching him*

Meet Pappy Dill! Pappy Dill is a 12 year old senior who has had a very difficult life. He spent the majority of his 12 years in an overcrowded cage alongside many other cats (One of them being Biggie Smalls) in an overcrowded living situation we have been assisting in. So, these last couple of months that he's been with have really broadened Pappy's outlook on life. Life has become more than just the 4 walls of confinement to him, and watching his 'spark' come to life has been an absolute joy. Pappy Dill does require some time to truly warm up and trust you, but oh boy, when he does? Its an honor! Pappy is an attention hog. This is a cat that wants continuous pets, belly rubs, and will push his head into your hands for more and more love.

We want someone to show Pappy that life is more than the hand he was dealt. We want Pappy to know TRUE unconditional love. We are looking for an adopter with other felines in the home as Pappy loves cats. We are suggesting a home with no dogs OR a dog that isn't overly active (Because of Pappy's eye sight), and with respectful older children.

Additional adoption info

The time it takes to process an application largely depends on the speed at which we are able to contact personal references. If approved, we go over an adoption contract that the adopter will sign, and it is at this time that an adoption fee is required. If an adoption does not work out for any reason, our adoption contract requires that the kitty be returned to Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc.

More about this rescue

We are a foster-based no-kill cat rescue that is working to better the lives of cats in Gloucester and Camden Counties. We do not euthanize any of the animals in our care simply to make room for new ones. Although our operation is small, each and every homeless pet in our program receives the absolute best care possible until a furrever home can be found.
We are small... but mighty. Every animal saved is a victory.
Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to save the lives of homeless animals.

Furrever Friends operates entirely on donations from caring individuals such as yourself. And, because Furrever Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your cash donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to "Furrever Friends."

Our volunteers work hard to:
-Provide safe, loving care in foster homes until a furrever family can be found.
-Spay/neuter and vaccinate pets prior to adoption to help control the pet overpopulation problem.
-Find new Furrever Homes for animals only after carefully screening potential adopters.
-Raise funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary and food costs.
-Fund emergency medical care to injured or abused animals in the FFRV program through "Geronimo's Fund".
-Showcase homeless animals at various venues to help find them homes, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ.
