Meet Betsy – A Resilient Senior Ready for Her Forever Home 🐾
Despite a rough start, Betsy radiates warmth and grace. Originally found as a stray in Louisiana, she was adopted later in life—only to be returned within the year, through no fault of her own. But Betsy’s spirit remains unbroken, and her heart is full of love to give.
Now approximately 8 years old, Betsy is being fostered in Louisiana by one of our dedicated longtime fosters, in partnership with Keri Toth. She’s fully vetted: spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, protected against heartworm and fleas/ticks, and has successfully completed heartworm treatment. Betsy is healthy, happy, and ready to start her next chapter.
🏡 Why Betsy is a Gem:
- Housebroken and well-mannered
- Gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes
- Gentle, sweet, and affectionate with everyone she meets
Betsy is a truly special dog who deserves a second chance at a loving home. We’re hoping to place her with a wonderful family on Long Island or nearby - she is currently being fostered in Louisiana.
