What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Atlas is a playful, energetic and cuddly 8 yr old Doberman. He has grown up with his "brother", Jax and his human family since he was about 6 weeks old. Atlas is a lover, not a fighter. He likes to believe he is a lap dog and will lean into your hand with his head until he has maneuvered it to the top of his head for a loving pat. Atlas is protective of his humans but is not aggressive and has never had a bite incident. He is house broke and roams freely but is also crate trained and will go into his kennel when instructed. He loves to play outside. Atlas is a chewer, so strong toys are a must. Atlas gets along well with children, cats and other dogs. Atlas' tail was docked (against his human's wishes before they were able to bring him home from the person he was adopted from), but his ears were never cropped. Atlas would adjust best if he were able to remain with his "brother" Jax (Great Dane/Akita mix). They are very close and might have difficulties adjusting alone.
