My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luke and Jenny are a bonded pair and must be adopted together.

Hi, I’m Luke—the sweet, quiet, gentle one of the pair. I can be a little shy when new people visit, but I just need a few minutes to feel safe. Once I know you’re kind, I love being picked up and sitting on your lap. I’m soft-spoken but very loving, and I’m happiest when I’m being held or getting brushed.
I enjoy playing with Jenny and trying out every toy, and I especially love using the scratching posts. I’m great with the litter box too. I haven’t met children yet, but I do well with other cats.
I don’t have any major dislikes, though I also don’t love taking medicine or getting my nails trimmed. I’m gentle, patient, and cooperative—I just need reassurance.
I’m looking for a home with my sister Jenny where I can continue to grow my confidence and share my sweet, affectionate nature. If you want a calm, loving companion who will melt into your arms, I might be your perfect match. Oh—and I love churu. A LOT.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative. Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.
