Meet Lua – 2-Year-Old Jindo Mix Looking for Her Forever Home
Basic Info
• Name: Lua
• Age: ~2 years
• Sex: Spayed Female
• Breed: Jindo mix
• Color: Brown/Black
• Weight: 16.5kg
• Height (shoulder): 55cm
• Rescue Story: Lua was rescued from a dog meat farm in September 2024. She lived with a trainer apprentice where she successfully learned home life, social skills, and daily routines.
Personality with People
Lua is affectionate, people-oriented, and loves physical contact. She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people for pets and will lean her body with trust.
Although she is slightly timid in unfamiliar or overwhelming environments, she has practiced touch and social contact extensively and opens up quickly.
She is comfortable with both women and men—her month-long foster was a male trainer apprentice, and she bonded very well with him.
She has not lived with children under 13, but her bright and gentle personality suggests she would adapt well.
She can be picked up easily and even shows her belly to people she’s meeting for the first time.
Personality with Dogs
Lua is friendly with other dogs and often approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite play.
If another dog is rude, too dominant, or pushes her boundaries, she will give a low growl to ask for space. Despite that, Lua is actually very gentle—she even lets playful puppies overwhelm her without reacting.
She enjoys playing with a small circle of well-matched dog friends but also loves spending quiet time with her people.
Lua tends to feel more secure with a few compatible dogs or just one-on-one with humans rather than in large groups of dogs.
Cats
Cat testing is available.
Energy Level
Lua has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but after exercise, she settles calmly and rests well at home.
Walking Manners
Lua has plenty of walking experience and generally follows her handler without pulling.
However, if a dog is walking ahead of her, she sometimes pulls the leash to catch up—she can be a bit jealous of other dogs getting attention or being ahead!
Other Behaviors
• No resource guarding toward humans or dogs
• Has food motivation
• No separation anxiety
• Calm in the car and knows how to get in and out on her own
• Comfortable staying in a kennel/crate when needed
• Currently prefers outdoor bathroom habits
Lua in a Nutshell
Lua is a sweet, affectionate, and trainable young dog who has already learned so much and adjusted beautifully.
She thrives with gentle guidance, loves bonding with her people, and enjoys spending time with a few close dog friends.
She is ready to join a loving home that can continue supporting her confidence and giving her the warm family she truly deserves.
Apply to foster or adopt to show her how beautiful the world can be.
