My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Amber is a sweet and playful cat who is patiently waiting for her perfect match. She has a loving, affectionate side that shines through once she feels comfortable—rolling around, rubbing her head against doors, and even showing off her belly. During interactions, she has started to eagerly accept head scratches and purrs loudly, showing just how much she enjoys attention. Like many kitties, Amber can get startled and will retreat to a cozy hidey spot if she feels unsure. The good news is, her curiosity and desire for love always bring her back out to interact again. She’s the last of her siblings still waiting for a forever home, and she’s ready to shower the right person with affection and companionship. With patience, understanding, and a calm environment, Amber will blossom into a devoted, playful, and loving feline friend who fills your home with warmth and joy.

Go meet their pets

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Nashville Humane Association. We’re located at 213 Oceola Ave in West Nashville, near the intersection of White Bridge Road and Charlotte Pike, and are open from 10AM until 5PM TUE through SUN (closed Mondays). We’re also closed from 12-1PM for “Quiet Hour.” As a quick heads up, our adoption process takes about an hour, and all adoptions must be finalized on-site at the shelter, so if you’re planning to visit and adopt, be sure to make accommodations for time.
