Figgy came into our care on November 19, 2025, after being found as a stray with another dog. Shelter life has been hard on her, and she is beginning to decline in the kennel environment. Figgy is an energetic, exuberant dog who needs more than the shelter can provide and will benefit greatly from a structured, active home.
What Figgy is working through:
-Struggles with impulse control, especially when excited
-Uses her mouth inappropriately during play and needs guidance on appropriate boundaries
-Play style is very rough and rowdy, requiring careful dog selection
-Needs consistent structure, training, and clear expectations to help her succeed
What we love about her:
-Exuberant, playful, and full of personality
-Has had positive interactions with other dogs
-Enjoys engaging with people and thrives on activity
-Would likely excel with appropriate physical and mental outlets
-Eager to interact and ready to learn with the right guidance
Figgy’s ideal home:
Figgy is looking for an active home or rescue placement that can provide structure, consistency, and appropriate outlets for her energy. A tolerant, well-matched canine companion may be a good fit, as long as introductions are thoughtful and play is well supervised. Figgy will do best with adopters who understand high-energy dogs and are willing to work on manners, boundaries, and impulse control through training and enrichment.
