Stella has an amazing personality — a small girl with a big, loving spirit. She’s about 4 years old, weighs 14 lbs, and is one of the sweetest, most uplifting dogs you’ll ever meet.
Stella loves people deeply. She senses emotions and wants nothing more than to be by your side like a true best friend. She’s the kind of dog who brings warmth into every room and joy into every heart. She’ll fit beautifully into so many homes because she is simply wonderful with people — she adores them.
She’s also gentle and friendly with other dogs and even cats. There’s truly not a bad bone in this little girl’s body.
Stella’s story is heartbreaking but shows just how loyal she is. After being abandoned by her previous owners, she stayed in the same neighborhood waiting faithfully for them to return. Locals began feeding her and she became the “neighborhood dog.” When she went into heat, they brought her to the shelter to be spayed. But once Sylvie, the founder of SOS El Arca Animal Rescue, met Stella, she knew she couldn’t let her go back to the streets. Stella’s gentle, loving nature deserved so much more.
Now, this beautiful soul is ready for her forever home, and we can’t wait for her to finally experience what a soft bed, gentle cuddles, and committed love truly feel like.
Stella has a chance to travel to New York on December 9th, if we can find an adopter or foster-to-adopt.
