Rudy is a delightful, playful 11‑pound, 5‑year‑old Bichon. He came into rescue because his previous family’s busy schedules meant he was left alone too often.
Rudy loves being at the center of activity. He walks beautifully on a leash, so a fenced yard isn’t required. He enjoys children, gets along well with other dogs, and is even comfortable with the cat. Rudy adores being held, loves to play, and happily settles when it’s time to relax. .
Because he spent long stretches on his own, his house training is a little inconsistent, but he’s making great progress with re‑training.
Rudy is a very sweet dog who prefers constant human companionship and thrives in a home where someone is most of the time. He is currently taking an inexpensive medication (Trazodone) to help manage his anxiety, and with consistent companionship he does wonderfully
*Please note Rudy also needs a small friendly dog, already living in the forever home chosen for him, as well as someone home most of the time. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. There are no exceptions to this. These requirements help ensure that Rudy adjusts well and thrives in his new environment.
Rudy is located in Kentucky and would make a wonderful, loving companion for a family ready to include him in their daily lives!
