Chunk had to be given up after his owner's home caught fire. He lived with an elderly man and several other shepards. His mother was 1/2 german Shepard and 1/2 Malinois. His father was full shepard. While he was loved in the first year of his life he had not been socialized much. Chunk is very submissive with people and other dogs. He does enjoy the companionship of other dogs though and has had no problems getting along with puppies, small dogs or other males. We were also told that he had been fine around cats in his previous home. Chunk is very eager to please but will require some patience while he learns to trust new people. He is crate trained and housetrained. Please visit our website www.fodrescue.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

More about this rescue
Field of Dreams Rescue was created to aid in the prevention of animal cruelty by offering a no-kill sanctuary for all unwanted dogs, including but not limited to dogs from abusive or neglected situations and commercial kennels.
In our first year of operation (2007) over 128 rescues were placed into loving permanent homes! Because FODR is a no kill shelter with limited space and funding, animals are taken into our care based on need.
We are an all volunteer organization. We foster animals in our own homes so that they will be adopted into loving permanent homes. Field of Dreams Rescue actively supports spay and neutering efforts.
