Our previous family had to move and sadly couldn’t take us with them, so now we’re searching for a quiet, patient home where we can feel safe again. We might hide at first when we meet new people — strangers are a little scary to us — but once we know you’re “our person,” everything changes. We love sitting on laps, getting soft pets, and playing with just about anything we can bat around. We’re affectionate, curious, and full of love… it just takes us a little time to feel brave enough to show it. Because we’re timid, we feel safest with each other. You’ll often find us curled up together, comforting one another. We’re not fans of excited, bouncy dogs, so a calm, quiet home would be perfect for us. With patience, gentle voices, and a steady routine, we blossom beautifully. We’re looking for a forever family who understands that shy kitties need time, tenderness, and lots of TLC — and in return, we’ll give you loyal companionship, soft purrs, and the joy of watching us come out of our shells. The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
