A Bit About Me Little

Sunshine is a gorgeous tabby girl ready for her forever home! Once comfortable, Sunshine is friendly, affectionate, and playful. She enjoys petting on her terms and is looking for a cat-savvy guardian. This lovely lady is happy to hang out, but also enjoys doing her own thing. If you have a home on the quieter side and are in search of your new best friend, Sunshine may be your match

More about this rescue

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
