Fredo is a 5 year old sweetheart who we originally rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control back in 2022. Fredo was adopted for three years, and sadly returned to our care after being found as a stray in Lake County. His adopter's life circumstances changed, and they were no longer able to care for Fredo. He was passed to a friend, and likely had been passed around for a while until he was dumped on the streets. But, if you can't already tell from that big silly smile, Fredo is hanging in there and we SO are happy to have him back with us!
Like the Will Ferrell character from the movie Old School, Fredo may be approaching middle-age, but he still loves to party! He jumped right back into playgroup with gusto! It's his favorite time of day, where he gets to romp around with his frat buddies, Andy , Huey, and more! Fredo does not have a trace of jealousy with other dogs-- he has such an open heart, and is such a well-adjusted good boy. Fredo is the same goofball with a heart of gold we remember from years ago. He is seriously the best boy, and we sincerely hope someone special comes to meet him soon. Fredo is amazing.
Fredo also enjoys walks and play and cuddles with the volunteers. He looooves people! He does great with kids of all ages. Fredo is simply a great pal to all, and he is so much fun to have around. His presence is an instant vibe boost to any situation.
We do know from having had contact with his previous adopter that Fredo is good with kids, dogs, and strangers-- they even mentioned that he would greet new people who come over like an old friend. He is housebroken and has good manners (though he has had so much upheaval that we still advise any prospective adopter to have patience as he readjusts and may have an accident, jump up to say hi, etc!).
We hope you will consider meeting Fredo this week, and giving him the loving and stable home that he so deserves! He is a wonderful, resilient, and special dog who we love so much.
Fredo’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
