My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marvelous Max Is Ready for His Forever Home!

Max is a 9-year-old toy poodle mix weighing in at about 16 lbs, and he’s every bit as charming as his name suggests. With his bright eyes, sweet spirit, and a smile that lights up the room, Max is ready to find a forever family who will cherish him as much as he’ll cherish them.

Max is a special boy with a few health considerations, but nothing stops him from being the happiest little guy. He has a grade 3/6 heart murmur, and he manages his allergies with a hydrolyzed protein diet that he’ll likely need long-term. Max is potty trained, up to date on vaccines and neutered.

This handsome little fluffball rides beautifully in the car, enjoys going for walks, and gets along well with other small dogs. Like many pups, he prefers to keep his meals to himself, so feeding him separately works best. Max’s only firm no-go: cats. He thinks chasing them is a sport, so a feline-free home is a must.

Max would thrive in a quiet, consistent household with humans who can offer him patience, structure, and continued support on his health journey. In return, he promises unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a lifetime of smiles. He is truly a sweetheart through and through—one of those rare souls who “just loves to love.”

If you’re ready to open your heart to Marvelous Max, please fill out a Statement of Interest on the Alternative Humane Society website. His forever family is out there—maybe it’s you.
