My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kali is a beautiful calico with a gentle heart and a big love for comfort.
She was abandoned by her mother as a young teenager and forced outdoors, even though she has always preferred the safety and coziness of indoor life. Adjusting to sanctuary/colony living has been hard for her — she’s sweet, friendly, and affectionate, but not a fan of the chaos that comes with a big group of cats.

Kali loves cuddles, attention, and being near her people without being clingy. She gets along well with cats, dogs, and humans, and would absolutely flourish in a quiet indoor home where she can finally relax and feel secure.

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Wildlife Sanctuary & Animal Rescue in the heart of Northern Indiana. Our current focuses are community animal management such as TNR & social rehabilitation programs for feral cats as well as kitten adoptions, and active forest conservation of our 15 acre sanctuary.

Our mission is to cultivate health & harmony among local animals, humans, and our shared ecosystem. Through our four initiatives, we ensure the stewardship of our diverse environment, the safety & management of our local animal species, and the sharing of online educational resources for friends everywhere.
