My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes: Raymond is a dashing gentlemanly figure, with an elegant gait. His long mane gives him a very sophisticated air, but rather than being cold and aloof, he was friendly right away when we first met. He adores pets and rubs, meowing whenever you meet eyes with him, asking for love and pets. He will very easily melt your heart and will be a constant companion on your side. He doesn't need much, but your love and affection. I'd recommend him for people who live in a calm environment.

What my friends at ACC say about me:

I lived with children in my previous home.

I have lived with cats in my previous home.

I can go home today!

I am a sweet, shy, older gentleman, looking for the perfect forever home!

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.

I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.

I have lived with cats at ACC and I'm doing well with them in the Free Roaming Room, so I would likely do well in a multi-cat home.

A volunteer writes: I am absolutely in love with Raymond, his fluffy tail, and beautiful tabby mane. I found him resting in his cubby, feeling comfortable behind his plastic window. I reached into his box to gently pet his head, and after a few seconds, I felt him relax. After a few minutes, he peaked his head out of his comfort spot and a few minutes after that he fully emerged and opened up to me. He is the perfect example of a cat that just needs a minute and as soon as he got comfortable with me, by the end of our interaction, we were best friends. He was so loving, and as soon as I closed his kennel, he stood proudly at the front, comforting himself by making biscuits, hoping that I would come back. I am absolutely obsessed with this boy and his gentle demeanor and how brave he was.
