Meet the Cats of Gettysburg at the Kitty Corner by Forever Love Rescue
Meow meet Savvy! Savvy didn’t loose her home because she did anything wrong. That’s the hardest part of her story. She spent almost 3 years in a home she believed was forever. Then suddenly that life ended and she found herself at the rescue confused and heartbroken, trying to understand why the forever she trusted slipped away.
Savvy is an adult female tuxedo with a tender soul. She is sweet, gentle, and quietly affectionate, but she feels the world very deeply. Too much noise, too much movement, too much change - it overwhelms her. When that happens Savvy needs the freedom to step back, breathe, and have her space respected. Her independence isn’t distance, it’s her asking the only way she knows how for space and patience.
On her terms, Savvy adores attention. When she chooses you, the affection is real and meaningful- gentle head rubs, quiet companionship, and peaceful moments shared side by side. She isn’t a cat that demands constant touch; she’s a cat who teaches you to slow down and listen.
Savvy needs a quiet, peaceful home - no children, no other pets - just a calm environment where she never has to compete or brace herself for overstimulation. She needs a human who understands that independence doesn’t mean indifference, and that stepping back doesn’t mean she loves any less.
Savvy isn’t asking for much. She is asking for stability. For gentleness. For someone who will let her set the pace and promise not to disappear again. If you give Savvy a calm place to land, she will give you something incredibly special- a gentle, loyal love that feels like being chosen!
Meet the #CatsOfGettysburg - Apply to adopt at bit.ly/AdoptFLR and we will help you find the purr-fect kitty for your family! Visit dozens of our adoptable cats and kittens at our Kitty Corner adoption center 39 Queen St in historic Gettysburg PA on any Saturday or Sunday from 11am-3pm. All of the cats listed are located in or near Gettysburg unless otherwise noted. Please note that while we work hard to keep our available cats up to date we also have many that are not posted yet. Adoption fees are $60 for adult cats and kittens over 6 months old, $100 for kittens (under 6 months) and $30 for senior cats (7 years+) to help cover vet bills for spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, testing, microchips and preventatives. No cat will be officially adopted without being spayed/neutered and vaccinated (unless there are health risks in doing so). We highly recommend adopting kittens in pairs and we do discount for double adoptions here to encourage it.
