Hey there! I’m Turtle, and I come fully equipped with floppy ears, tiny paws, and enough sweetness to melt your heart. I was born in the first few days of September of this year
I’m a 10-pound beagle mix looking for my forever family. Don’t worry—I’m much less messy than my dessert nickname… probably.
My foster family loves to brag about me and they’ve outlined some of my star qualities:
I’m the friendly, playful sidekick you’ve been wishing for. Whether it’s chasing toys, pouncing on crinkly things, or just wiggling my whole body because I’m excited to see you, I’m always ready to have fun.
Speaking of fun, I thrive with my two sisters — I love chase games, wrestling, and snuggling up at nap time. I’d love to join your dog pack, though I’m just as happy to be your one and only.
Sleeping Beauty. Even though I love to play, I’m super quiet in my pen. The humans say that means I’ll probably learn crate training quickly. I’m smart like that. (And cute. Very cute.)
Potty training in progress! I’m a baby, but I’m trying really hard to figure out where everything goes. With some routine and encouragement, I’ll get it down in no time!
Gentle treat taker. I’m a soft-mouthed, sweet-natured pup who takes treats so politely that even tiny humans feel safe giving them to me. I love gentle pats, wiggly play, and following kids around like they’re my built-in adventure buddies.
Big, Soft Puppy Gaze. I give the sweetest, most adoring eye contact—especially when I’m snuggled up. It’s like I’m memorizing your face so I can adore you better.

Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet!
The adoption fee of $500 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed!
*please note that we are a foster home based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
