My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Shadow!

The fluff king of good vibes! This happy-go-lucky boy is the perfect blend of playful energy and sweet, snuggly charm. Shadow lives for fun: zooming around the yard, tossing toys in the air, and bringing his contagious joy to every adventure. He’s the kind of pup who makes you laugh without even trying.

But once playtime winds down? Shadow melts. This fluffy sweetheart LOVES his people and will happily settle in close for extra loves, gentle pets, and all the affection you’re willing to give. He soaks it up like it’s his full-time job.

Bright, cheerful, and always ready to be part of the action, Shadow is the ultimate feel-good companion. With him by your side, every day feels a little lighter, a little warmer, and a whole lot fluffier. Shadow would love to find a home with adult adopters, but would do just fine in a home with families who have dog-savvy children over the age of 6. He would love to find a home with another playful pup, but is still working on his manners! It is currently unknown how he may do with a cat in the home.

Shadow will require pre-registration for general obedience training classes prior to adoption. AFRP will request proof of this.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
