My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Little Lonnie: A Tiny Heart Full of Love Waiting to Shine. At just 4½ to 5 months old and weighing only 6 pounds, Lonnie a tiny red Dachshund mix is a bundle of love and personality. He arrived with his sister Lollie, and together they shared their hopes for a warm, loving home together. Lonnie is a true snuggle bug—his favorite thing in the world is to nuzzle your neck and share gentle kisses. He’s a curious little explorer, always eager to follow his sister Lollie around, discovering new sights and sounds with wide, trusting eyes. Despite being a puppy, Lonnie is already full of loyalty and affection, ready to become your loyal companion. This sweet boy has been vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated, and he’s scheduled to be neutered soon. He will need a little patience and guidance as he learns to potty train and walk on a leash, but with love and consistency, he’ll thrive in his new home. Lonnie’s ideal family will have experience with the Dachshund breed, as they are known for their unique personalities and needs. In return, he promises to fill your days with love, laughter, and endless cuddles. If you’re ready to open your heart to a tiny, loving soul who’s eager to love you back, Little Lonnie is waiting to meet you. Come meet this loyal little guy and let him show you what true puppy love is all about. Loyal Lonnie is waiting to love you—are you ready to give him his forever home? We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment
