My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi everyone, I’m Sunflower! I’m a 4 month old little pup that’s ready to be adopted!

I get along with other dogs and kittens really well because my foster home has LOTS of dogs and kittens! I especially love my foster brothers, Preston and Bruce Wayne.

I’m a bit shy and can be nervous in new situations. But, my foster Mama says I just need more time getting used to different experiences.

I’m not sure what kind of dog breeds I have in me… I look like a shepherd but I’m pretty small. Maybe I’m just a mini-shepherd! I’ve had my puppy shots as well as being spayed and microchipped.

Bottomline, I’m cute as a button and ready to find my forever person/family!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Arrangements can usually be made to meet most of our adoptable animals in Flagstaff. The process starts by filling out an application and returning it to to us through email. Some animals are fostered in Tuba City or other locations. We do attend some adoption events in Flagstaff.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue/foster group located in Tuba City, AZ, on the western Navajo Nation. We do not have a facility. We have two main programs: rescue of homeless animals in need, and a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public. We rely on donations to continue our work.
