Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Plymouth — the sweetest little gentleman you’ll ever bring home.
This 3-year-old Pekingese (under 10 pounds!) has huge, soulful eyes that melt everyone who meets him. He’s been fully approved by cats, dog siblings, and even squirrels, and he passes every personality test with flying colors. Though he’s a bit unsure of the world at first, he feels safe and content when his people are nearby. If you’re looking for a low-key, relaxed companion who just wants to be close to you, Plymouth is your guy. Bonus: he’s an absolute gentleman in the car!
Plymouth will need daily eye drops for life due to dry eye—about $20/month—but he truly is a champ with both drops and eye wipes. His eyes can get a little funky if you skip a day, but he’s incredibly cooperative and patient. You won’t find a more agreeable kiddo when it comes to eye care.
His beautiful black coat is accented with little white patches, including one foot that looks like he dipped just the tip in white paint—paired with those big, expressive eyes, he’s completely irresistible.
When Plymouth first arrived, he was very nervous and unsure. You may see the same when he first comes to your home. For the first few days, I had to gently pick him up and place him where he needed to be. But once he feels safe, he becomes a total cuddle buddy. He loves curling up next to you—he just needs you to initiate the snuggles at first. With time and confidence, we expect he’ll learn to climb up on his own.
Plymouth has the softest little voice and uses it sparingly. He’ll bark a couple of excited “welcome home” greetings, and he may speak up if a foster sibling bumps into him, but overall he’s a quiet, easy presence in the home.
He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations—ready for his forever family.
If you’re searching for a gentle, loving companion with a tender heart, giant expressive eyes, and an adorable, humble spirit, Plymouth could be the perfect match.
