Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Woody is a stunningly beautiful (part) Maine Coon with a big mane around his neck, super fluffy tail, and tufts of hair sticking out from his toes and ears.
He has come a long way after the trauma of his last owner passing away. After taking some time to settle into his foster home he has proved himself to be super sweet! He is very social, asks for attention and is talkative. At the same time, he is still a bit skittish. He has claimed a room in his foster home and is still too nervous to come out to the larger house, but he is happy to see his foster family when they hang out with him, which is often.
Woody seems quite comfortable with noises made outside the open window (dog and baby next door, garbage cans being moved). He is comfortable with different people, but is easily startled and moves away when people make unexpected noises or quick movements. When he is startled, he retreats to a corner or under the desk, but quickly realizes it is safe and returns to be petted. He really enjoys being beside his favorite people and being stroked, petted, and brushed. He purrs, drools and nibbles on fingers. He doesn't sit on laps yet, nor does he enjoy being held, but he loves to snuggle up right next to you.
He loves playing with fabric or feathered cat wands and he enjoys soft balls and springs from time to time.
We think Woody would make a terrific pet for a single person or couple with a quiet lifestyle and calm home.

Additional adoption info
CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep.
If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted!
Adoption fees are:
Kittens under 6mo: $130 ($200 for two)
Cats over 6mo: $90 ($150 for two)
Puppies under 6mo: $225
Dogs over 6mo: $175
