My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darcy is a domestic shorthair brown tabby female who is 6 months old. She is currently with her brother Denver.

Meet Darcy, a sweet and mellow kitten with a gentle presence and a goofy side that shines through once she warms up to you. She’s still learning the ropes of human interaction, taking her time to understand the world at her own pace. Her shy, cautious demeanour is part of what makes her so endearing, revealing glimpses of a playful and curious spirit when she feels safe.

Darcy’s independent nature makes her a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a quiet, thoughtful cat who doesn’t need constant attention to feel content. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, she blossoms bit by bit, showing off her charm and forming heartfelt connections.

Adopting Darcy means giving her the chance to grow in confidence and become the loving, loyal pet she’s destined to be, a gentle soul ready to shine with the right person by her side.

Darcy would like to go to a home with her sibling Denver or to a home with a young cat or dog friend to match his energy level.

Darcy is spayed, microchipped, on parasite prevention, and vaccinated with RCCP and rabies. Her adoption fee is $300 or $550 for a pair with her sibling Denver. To apply, please submit an adoption application.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
