Polly is a SUPER sweet puppy who absolutely loves cuddling, belly rubs, ear scratches, and going on walks. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and enjoys being around her people.
Training & Home Skills:

✔️ Knows sit, shake, stay, and lay down
Polly does great with other dogs and cats. She hasn’t been around children yet (N/A), and I haven’t noticed any anxiety or aggression issues.
When left alone, Polly is always safely crated indoors. She does very well outside unattended in a fenced yard and does not bark at people walking by or neighboring dogs.
She did fantastic at the Bastrop Christmas Light Parade and handled the outing like a champ! She isn’t familiar with horses yet and found them a bit scary. Polly also rides well in the car as long as it’s not too windy or bumpy.

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
