Howdy! My name is Kota! I bet you are thinking I am one cute boy! Well you would be right! I am also very sweet! This one-year-old retriever mix was found by a kind homeowner as a stray. I was very thin when I showed up in her yard! She decided to help me out by feeding me and letting me stay at her house. I have been there for quite a while, but she has developed some health issues and needs to focus on getting well. So I am here to relocate! I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have microchip, and I have been neutered. I have been on one foster field trip and I got “rave” reviews! They said that I was good with other dogs in their home and with their kids too! I hope that I will find my “forever” home soon!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
