Sora is a sweet, silly girl who came to us as a stray and was sadly never reclaimed. She isn’t spayed yet, so she is only available for adoption to residents of Pittsylvania County or Danville City until she can be spayed.

Sora has a joyful, playful personality that makes her impossible not to love. She adores playing with her toys and has a wonderfully goofy streak that keeps everyone smiling. She’s also a smart girl who can sit perfectly for a treat—especially if you’re holding something tasty!

With her loving nature and fun energy, Sora would make a fantastic companion for someone ready to give her the fresh start she deserves. Come meet this happy, lovable girl—she just might be your perfect match.

Our staff will work with potential adopters to help them find the right fit for their family as adopting a pet is a lifelong commitment.

Adoption Prices
Cats/Kittens: $75
Adult Dogs: $75
Heartworm Positive Dogs: $100
Puppies: $150 to $300

The prices listed above include the pet's spay/neuter, initial vaccines up to date, rabies vaccine, monthly preventatives (heartworm and flea/tick prevention), heartworm testing in all adult dogs (6 months and older), FeLv/FIV testing in all adult cats (6 months and older).

A $5 microchip fee is added to every adoption.

If you live in Pittsylvania County, you will be required to purchase a Pittsylvania County dog tag for an additional $5 (cash only).

The Pittsylvania Pet Center is committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of all companion animals by working with Animal Control Officers in the enforcement of state and local laws, reducing the number of stray and homeless animals, and providing the best care possible for every animal that comes through our doors.
We will shelter and care for homeless, abandoned, and lost animals, work to keep and place animals in safe, loving homes, and provide education and resources to pet owners to enhance their lives and the lives of their companion animals.

We will strive to be the voice for the animals in our community and ensure that they are properly cared for. We believe that collaboration is key in animal welfare. Our organization will work with the local community, other shelters and rescues, and veterinary professionals to ensure that every one of our adoptable animals find a forever home.
