My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet the Perfect Pawsome Pair or Solo! Are you ready to welcome a bundle of joy into your life? Say hello to our lovable litter of adorable pups—our very own Frenchie Doodles or Floodles! Whichever name you choose, one thing’s for sure: they are pure love wrapped in fur. Born on July 29, 2025, these sweethearts are playful, affectionate, and full of life. Their loving Poodle mom was not spayed, which means these little miracles came into the world unexpected. Dad was a French Bull dog. Remember, spaying and neutering your pets helps control the pet population—please consider it for your furry friends! Meet Abby—our tiniest girl at just 4.4 pounds! She’s a playful, spirited pup who loves to wrestle, play, and cuddle with her littermates. She’s already off to a great start with potty training and is eager to learn leash training once she’s fully vaccinated. Abby has been microchipped, flea-treated, dewormed, and has received her first two puppy vaccinations—she just needs two more to be all set for her forever family. Abby and her siblings—Archie, Annie, and Alanna—are searching for homes where they can grow, play, and be loved unconditionally. They adore kids, enjoy car rides, and are sure to bring endless joy and pitter-patter of puppy paws into your life. Are you ready to open your heart and home to these delightful pups? Abby is waiting to bring happiness and love into your world. Adopt, adore, and cherish these little bundles of joy! We appreciate that you are interested in one or more of our dogs or cats for adoption. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner.

1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it.

2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why)

a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response.

b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get.

c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to.

3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org

4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/

5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link.
We are closed on Sundays unless you make prior arrangements and schedule an appointment

More about this rescue

AFCHS is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) charitable organization serving San Joaquin County & the surrounding areas of the greater San Joaquin.

Our mission is to promote the human-animal bond and the humane treatment of animals through public education and pet adoptions.
"Not Just an Adoption - a Perfect Match"

Animal Friends Connection began in 1990 as an educational, rescue and adoption agency. In January 2000 we opened a Cat Shelter/Sanctuary and in 2004 started Sheltering dogs too. Since that time we have added dogs kennels and a nice exercise yard. Our Shelter currently houses up to 40 cats and 35 dogs at any given time. While we are primarily a volunteer organization, our Shelter would not be able to function without staff. The animals need to count on being fed twice daily and receive medical care. The public needs to be able to count on us to show them dogs or cats needing to be adopted. We are also there for those that need to re-home their pets or that find animals that need help. Many of our animals are in foster care or rescue homes. We are dedicated to providing shelter, promoting spaying and neutering to the public as well as spaying and neutering our own animals and providing medical care to those in need.
