My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Toast!  Are you looking for a cat that will look into your eyes with pure unconditional love? Look no further than Toast.

Toast is a happy, healthy, brown tabby cat who desires companionship. He is approximately 1 year old and is everything you need in a feline friend. He’s cuddly, playful, talkative, extremely friendly, and full of love to give. He even wags his tail when he’s happy! Give him a toy and it’s bound to be played with. If your lap is free, Toast will ask to be picked up and lie on you.

Within the 3 weeks in his foster home, he has gotten along with the resident dog and cats. With an outgoing personality, Toast meets new people with open arms.  Toast can handle young kids and not even a 4-year-old petting his head, belly, feet or giving hugs and kisses bothers him one bit. The more attention the better with this guy.

Additional adoption info

1. Fill out an application

2. Face to face Interview, and meet with the cat/kitten

Part of our adoption process requires observing all family members interaction, especially children.

We always adopt bonded pairs, but single cats are sometimes available. Adoption fees vary, but are usually:

$300 for a bonded pair of kittens
$175 for a single kitten (rare to adopt singles)
$125 Adults 1-5 years old
$100 Adults 6-10 yrs oldest
$75 11+

Depending on the situation, we may also need to carry out a home visit, and help with transportation and introduction of the cat to it's new surroundings.

Follow-ups are part of the normal process.

More about this rescue

Our primary mission is to prevent kittens through a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) program. However, sometimes we get Trap Neuter Adoption (TNA’s). When shelters are full, we foster, socialize and vet the kittens. This part of our program also involves local youths in the care of kittens in addition to our TNR efforts.

While in our system, kittens are fed a good quality Grain-Free Kibble and care is taken to assure their long and healthy life to the extent possible. We supplement for specific issues i.e. Pro-biotics, EFA's, immune boosters and sometimes digestive enzymes.. Many are exposed to dogs and are comfortable with them. They’ve been exposed to many wonderful volunteers of all ages.

When possible we capture the mama with the litter to assure their fuller development. Many times we keep them together for 9-12 weeks. Our adoption fee covers spay neuter surgery, FVRCP & Rabies vaccinations, parasite, ear mite & flea treatment when necessary, and a micro chip. And some of them have a small ear tip—just a reminder that you’ve given a cat a home that could have otherwise had to fend for itself, on the streets.

Our adopted cats and kittens are welcome back for the duration of their life in the event the adoption doesn’t work out, or if it becomes impossible for you to keep the cat. We’re always available for consultation about behavior, health, or referrals to assistance beyond our scope.
