My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This boy is a baby kitty. " Just hold me, love me, kiss me." he says. As I photographed, seeing his absolute pleasure in being stroked, I said, "Oh You are such a baby boy. That is how I am going to describe you". He is a big baby, 11 pounds already and still growing. I think he likes having kisses and nuzzling while under your chin the best. I expect he hasn't gotten enough that in his short life.

A Ragdoll Cattery closed recently. The owner found it was much more work than she expected and she quickly decided not to continue. Purebreds Plus took in a group of her beautiful Ragdolls all of whom are young and most of whom, like Georgie, have microchips that show they were purchased abroad.

Ragdoll kittens are all a solid cream color when born; as they grow their colors develop and darken. Georgie is a Seal Bicolor Ragdoll. The soft brown on his face and back will darken over time to match the rich sable color of his ears and tail. Ragdolls, like Maine Coons, aren't fully grown until around the middle of their third year. Georgie will typically be darker and bigger when he hits that age.

Though Georgie is a good natured, mellow guy he does have one serious request of his new family. He doesn't want to share to your love and attention with another kitty He is of course neutered but even so he is not really friendly or comfortable with either male or female kitties. We've tested him on several occasions and he seems pretty unchanging about this. So Georgie needs to be the only cat in his home. We don't know how he would be with dogs but I would guess maybe fine as long as they don't want to share your lap space with him.

Like almost all Ragdolls this boy needs a peaceful, quiet home. No noisy toddlers. He would be fine with older respectful children and maybe sleepy older hound dogs. He needs a family who has time to spend with him. Are you home much of the time? Do you long for the companionship of a sensitive kitty who can feel your emotions and comfort you? Do you long to nuzzle a soft ,warm armful of purring cat? He has a great purr. Can you offer him a safe, loving home and pamper him all the time.?

Some family will be so lucky to see his beautiful blue eyes each morning and have his warm and gentle companionship.

Georgie is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.

He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.

If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Georgie please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.

NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info

READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Go meet their pets

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.

When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!
