My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Savannah,

Savannah is an energetic puppy looking for a new family of her own! She is a rambunctious little one, getting into every and anything she can. She will need continued training to help her learn what she can and cannot put in her mouth. She is very curious and will need a patient guardian to continue with her obedience training ongoing. She is doing well with her housetraining but is not fully house trained.

She loves going for walks and is working on her leash manners. She is a very active breed and is looking for a home who can match her active lifestyle. She loves being outdoors and exploring and would be suitable to an adoptive home who enjoys the dame. She is learning safety with people and enjoys pets and snuggles with her foster mama.

She is going to be a very large girl once fully grown and so socialization at her young age now is incredibly important.

If you're looking to ad a new pup to your heart and home, please send in an application today. Savannah is currently in a foster home, and we will be approving meets with an approved application only.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
