Meet Bamm — The Fast, Friendly, Wobbly Cuddle Champion
Bamm is an irresistibly social, affectionate little guy who has never met a lap he didn’t want to curl up in. His foster mom says she’ll miss his nonstop demands for “uppies”—he always wants to be picked up, snuggled, and held close. Cuddle time is absolutely his favorite time, and he gives and receives affection with his whole tiny heart. When he isn’t in someone’s arms, this sweet boy is usually zooming around at top speed, because Bamm has enough energy and enthusiasm for the whole household!
Bramm has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), or “wobbly cat syndrome.” This non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition simply means his coordination is a bit unsteady, giving him the charming, tipsy wobble of an adorable “drunken sailor.” His CH won’t affect his ability to live a long, healthy, joyful life—it just means he needs a little extra care and a safe setup. He’ll do best in a home with soft surfaces and carpets to help him balance, elevated food and water bowls, and a low-entry litter box. Stairs can be dangerous for wobbly cats, especially open stairs, so a home without them—or with baby gates to block access—is ideal. CH is not progressive so it never gets worse, and as he grows, he’ll get better at navigating the world, though he’ll always have his cute little wobble.
Bamm is incredibly playful and LOVES anything that moves: small stuffed toys, toy balls, his siblings, wand toys—you name it. He is a full-on play machine and his CH absolutely does not slow him down. In fact, one of his superpowers is “super speed,” because he can run, flop, wiggle, and zoom faster than you’d ever expect. He’s also a bit of a messy eater (it’s part of his charm!) so he occasionally needs a gentle bath, and he’ll be sure to tell you all about it.
Because he’s still very young, Bamm will need a home with at least one kitty friend to play with—and he’d be thrilled to be adopted with one or both of his siblings, Pebbles and Barnie. Their uncoordinated, wobbly wrestling matches are hilarious, and he adores having feline playmates to keep him entertained. He has also met lots of visitors and even a small dog in his foster home, and he’d do great in a loving, understanding household that embraces his special needs and celebrates the joyful, snuggly boy that he is.
Bamm is the perfect mix of goofy, playful, affectionate, and cuddly. He brings pure sunshine into every room he enters—and even more love into every set of arms he wiggles into!
