Rye came in with his sister, Poppy, after being born on a farm, and together they’ve embraced the chance at a better, safer indoor life. While Poppy tends to lead the way, Rye hangs back just a bit—he’s the more cautious sibling, taking his time to warm up to new people and new surroundings.
But once Rye feels comfortable, he becomes an absolute sweetheart. He loves pets, cuddles, and quiet companionship, and he adores curling up with Poppy in front of the window to watch the world outside. He’s playful, curious, and learning every day just how wonderful indoor life can be.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.
Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.
We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
