My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zoobit is a lovable mix of long legs, lanky charm, and silly-goofy energy. She may come off a little awkward at first, but that’s just part of her irresistible personality — she wiggles, she flops, she prances, and she makes everyone laugh while doing it.

This sweet girl's happy place is with her best friends, dogs and humans alike. She gets along with just about everyone she meets and has a great sense of doggy etiquette — she’s friendly, social, and playful, but also respectful of others’ space.

Curious by nature, Zoobit loves to explore. Whether she’s sniffing out new trails, inspecting interesting corners, or just checking out what’s happening around her, she’s always up for an adventure.

Best of all, Zoobit is incredibly gentle and affectionate with people. She’s the kind of dog who brightens your day with her sweetness and goofy grin.

If you’re looking for a kind-hearted, quirky companion who will keep you smiling, Zoobit might just be your perfect match!

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
