My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elsa, a social butterfly and friendly sweetheart, who’s ready to charm her way into your heart and home. Elsa is one of the most social and engaging cats you’ll ever meet! Do you have friends coming over? Elsa will be the welcoming committee! She’ll politely give everyone a few minutes to settle in, then trot over to say “hello”, hoping to meet a new friend who’s willing to play! And she’s always game for some head scratches - she absolutely melts for those, leaning in for as long as you can last! Elsa loves to carry her favourite squishy ball in her mouth, meowing sweetly to announce to her foster family “it’s playtime!”. Her favourite game involves zooming down the hallway, dashing after her favourite ball with joyful determination. But this sweet girl is not just about play - Elsa also adores affection. She’ll linger nearby, hoping for scritches or a little attention from guests and family alike. And when she finds the contact she craves, she purrs contentedly, completely in her zone. She’s happy to be picked up for a short cuddle, but she’s also independent enough to enjoy her own company. We are unsure how she is with other cats, dogs or children. We think Elsa would do well as the only pet in her home, as long as there is someone home often to give her all the attention she craves.

Elsa arrived in our care as a pregnant stray. She was a great mom to her babies, but now she’s ready to find her forever home at last.

If you’re looking for a companion who brings joy, playfulness, and a whole lot of love into your life, Elsa is waiting to meet you.

As we often receive numerous applications for each cat or kitten, we will only contact applicants who best suit the needs of the cat or kitten. For example, if it is stipulated that the cat needs another cat buddy at home and you do not have one, you may not receive a response. Finding the best home for our cat or kitten is our top priority. Applications are not first-come, first-served.

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
