💎 Meet Opalite — Playful, Sweet, and Loving Her Second Chance

Opalite is a gorgeous Snowshoe girl with a hint of tortie, about 11 years old, who came from a hoarding situation. Since arriving at Whiskers, she has completely blossomed. Once tired and shut down, she now gets full-blown zoomies, plays with her toys, and enjoys every moment of her new, comfortable life.

She’s blind in one eye from an old injury, and she’s toothless — but none of it slows her down. She eats both wet and dry food without a problem and navigates her space beautifully. What she does require is love, comfort, and a cozy spot to snuggle. She can live with another cat, though she doesn’t need a feline companion.

Her favorite things:

✨ Toys, zoomies, and little bursts of play
✨ Warm beds and cozy hideaways

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We accept applications online and in person at events. Applications are accepted on a first-come basis.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require an in-person meeting with potential adopters and one of our adoption specialists. All members of the family should be present.

3.
Interview

Interviews can be conducted via email or in person and may happen before, after or during the in-person meeting with the pet.

4.
Home Check

Home checks may be completed at the discretion of the interviewing adoption specialist.

5.
Approve Application

A follow-up contact will be made by an adoption specialist 1-3 days post-adoption and again at 10-14 days.

Additional adoption info

We are an all volunteer staffed rescue. Typical response times are less than 12 hours; however, please allow up to 72 hours for a response.
