Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Do you own a barn, stable, or just have a lot of land? Looking for someone to help you keep it looking tidy and pest-free? Then meet Finn, one of our working cats! Finn is no ordinary working cat -- this handsome orange fella is much more accustomed to human interaction than most working cats that wander through our care. Finn seems to appreciate a solid human companion who is willing to offer him a nice outdoor area for him to spend his days meandering about to his heart`s content. Finn prefers the comforting breeze of the open air as he goes about his business, so litterboxes are pretty much out of the question! Finn would thrive with an owner that has plenty of outdoor space for him to explore while also allowing him the freedom to check in every now and then for a little cat nap on the couch. If you already have working cats of your own, we strongly recommend a slow introduction to any other working cats to make sure they get along. Sound like the cat for you? Stop by today, and don`t forget, adoptions for working cats are fee-waived.
If you’d like to meet our available animals, please check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours! Both of our locations are open Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12-5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12-7 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information on our adoption process, including requirements and fees, visit: www.fairfaxcounty.gov/animalshelter/adopt
